Giant Trevally are an exciting species and have made both Christmas Island and the Seychelles destinations famous. Anglers travel thousands of miles for shots at these bruisers.  GT’s can be up to 100 pounds, but in shore the trophy range is typically 30-60 pounds and they are an incredible fight.

We have had our most success on flies in the 3/0 to 4/0 range but have caught many GT’s on flies 2/0 and even smaller when fishing for GT in the 5-15 pound range which are a heck of a quarry!  Our Deadly Dozen will give you a nice variety and should last you a week of fishing in Christmas Island. If you are going to Providence, Farquhar Atoll, Cosmoledos, Alphonse, we would encourage you to get 2-3 dozen flies as you will spend a larger portion of your time dedicated to GT.
